This exit list contains both the new exit number and former exit number after MassDOT converted Route 25 to the Geographic Reference or Milepost Exit Numbering system in November 2020. MassDOT started converting exit numbers in mid-October 2020 on routes in eastern and southern parts of the state. This project was first planned for 2016, but eventually postponed. Sign text updated for new signage installed in 2024.

Under the new MassDOT renumbering program announced in November 2019, highways without exit numbers will not receive them and several routes proposed to get new numbers in 2016 will not. This includes Routes 28, 57, 213 and the Lowell Connector. I have included lists of the following routes with their current and proposed 2016 numbers, in case plans change:

*The original Exit Renumbering Project that was to take place in 2016, but later postponed, had milepost based exit numbers for all the highways listed above. When the new milepost project was announced in the fall of 2019, routes without exit numbers were not included, and short routes, like Route 213, were to keep their existing numbers. I have included the 2016 numbers in the table in case renumbering or adding numbers to these routes is ever reconsidered.

***Interestingly, the numbers listed for the 2016 project for MA 28 did make there way onto the official 2022 and 2023 Massachusetts Transportation Map, but not for the other routes listed.
