Note: Exit Numbers and Mileage taken from US 264 Wikipedia Page. US 264 was up to interstate standards in Wilson County prior to the I-587 designation and was upgraded to interstate standards in Greene and Pitt Counties in 2020 and early 2021. Text in italics marks part of US 264 not up to interstate standards. NCDOT got approval from AASHTO in the spring of 2021 to sign I-587 east of I-95 in Wilson County, which would be allowed since it would connect at one end to an established interstate route, the FHWA approved the route in the fall of 2021. NCDOT started placing I-587 shields and mile markers east of I-95 in June 2022 and stated that exit renumbering is also part of this project, though there are no reports this has happened as of July, apparently waiting for all the mile markers to be installed. NCDOT states that this changeover in signs and exit numbers may take several months. Exit numbers 28 to 42 based on new mile marker placement as viewed on Google Maps Street View from June 2022.

F-Exit on current US 264, Future I-587

P-The current exit sign has not been updated to include US 258 South and just lists Wesley Church Road. I am assuming when updated with US 258 it will have the control cities listed.

n-Actual Exit numbers as confirmed by Road Trip taken on October 16, 2022, see photos on I-587 page.

*NCDOT announced on July 27, 2022 that new mileposts and exit numbers consistent with those to be put up on I-587 would go up along the non-interstate standard portion between US 64 (Future I-87) and I-95 starting on July 28 and completed the following week.

**Currently US 264 Alternate. NCDOT received permission from AASHTO in November 2021 to reroute US 264 along what is now US 264 Alternate east of Wilson to Greenville, US 264 will then be routed up the NC 11 Bypass to where it currently intersects, US 264 shields will be removed between Saratoga and Greenville as part of the I-587 signing project.
